I’m at the grand hyatt in Seattle

with my laptop. I think I’m more sick now after walking around pointlessly in the cold, humid, windy weather. The city is beautiful though, at dusk. The hotel is in the middle of downtown apparently, and it’s surrounded by nice, if slightly boring, staples of American shopping mall (except that it’s on the street and large)….Gap, Banana Republic, Abracrombie & Fitch, etc. Of course, several Starbucks on the same block with some Seattle’s Best here [...]

the recruiter was telling me (after he asked me about static methods in java) about how he interviewed some guy getting a PhD in CS who didn’t know whta static methods were. It seems kinda inconceivable to me, like what did this person do for like, the decade he was study CS?

It’s called Oregon. I guess this explains why it’s so far away. I kinda just think of Washington as a vertical extension of California for some reason.
