currently my favorite song…actually it’s been my favorite song from this new album since it came out.

周董MV拍得屌！　大導張藝謀盛讚「菊花台」

周董為「菊花台」MV首度彈奏古箏！從來沒彈過古箏的他現場向老師學習基本指法，20分鐘後就自己能彈奏出 「菊花台」的旋律，證明對音樂的天份果真是與生俱來！
配合電影【滿城盡帶黃金甲】，這支「菊花台」MV的場景耗資100萬搭建出皇宮的碧麗輝煌，端坐彈奏著古箏 的周杰倫置身湖面上，水波盪漾之間朵朵菊花漂浮，營造的淒美感連電影導演張藝謀都為之驚豔！直誇周杰倫在執 導影像上還真的有些天份！
聽到這首「菊花台」，所有人都嚇一大跳！因為周杰倫的唱腔在這首歌裡真的不同以往！他細膩的嗓音與咬字上的 清晰連作詞者方文山也意想不到！為了寫好歌詞，方文山把【滿城盡帶黃金甲】的電影劇本都看完了，再聽杰倫講 述電影的畫面才完成了這首詞。
當初在杰倫只寫好曲時，張藝謀導演一聽到這首歌的旋律，第一個反應就是：「這個就對了！」方文山完成歌詞後 ，張導在電腦上看著歌詞，心情非常激動，他說：「詞也寫得非常好！這首歌和電影完全地貼切！」 後來這首歌錄好了，劇組工作人員和張導聽著歌、看著歌詞，看完之後發現好幾個人眼眶都有淚，大家的感受都很 強烈！

This is the photograph I would have up on my wall

so I can look at a piece of Henri Cartier-Bresson always. This is the first picture I remember being really impressed by,
I still remember the first time I saw it. It was in cs39-j (?) photo seminar where we had a guest lecturer and she showed a bunch of pictures
by Bresson and Walker Evens I think (I still remember what the other pictures look like, although I haven’t come across them again)
this picture is also very pretty
oh, I just saw this. I guess he did die, on August 4, 2004. I guess there is no chance of me ever meeting him then, however [...]
